Ehrwald – holiday tradition in the Zugspitz Arena
The panorama of Ehrwald captures your imagination at first glance. In the east, the mighty Zugspitze rises, in the south the snow fields of the Mieminger chain and the Wetterstein mountain range dazzle the eye.
At 994 metres above sea level, bedded in a sunny, wildly romantic valley with mountain lakes, Ehrwald looks like a picture book paradise. A paradise that keeps up with the times while at the same time maintaining its old customs and traditions.
Ehrwald in WINTER
A world of fun on the slopes: in Ehrwald experienced skiers, boarders and even kids have the choice between the Zugspitzplatt (glacier), the more leisurely Wettersteinbahnen, the Sonnenliften and the skiing area on the upland Ehrwald Alm, where the ‘Ganghofer Blitz’ helps push up the pulse a gear. Enjoy your skiing on well-prepared slopes covering all levels of difficulty or just take to the deep snow. Thanks to a range of sun-bathed terraces three thousand metres up and snow through to April, Ehrwald has a lot to offer winter sports fans. On slopes on the Ehrwald Alm you can also enjoy a night ride with skibobs, snowfoxes, bobsleds or wooden sledges. This winter idyll is perfect also for hikers and cross-country skiers.
